Na hEireann (Women of Ireland) - The
Celts gave pre-eminence to the position of women
in their society. Celtic women were revered and
venerated. In matters of bravery and accomplishment,
they were on equal footing with men, frequently
leading them into battle or being adept as warriors,
merchants and rulers. This CD tells stories about
some more recent Irish women who certainly do
not lack for charm, individuality or character.
