The Anorak Adventure have been silent for a long time. Their logo gives a fair indication of their need to maintain a low profile. Their motto Who gives a shit provoked some adverse reaction when it featured prominently on a poster for their 50 Irish Party Songs CD in 1993. Earlier they had released a song about Gay Byrne entitled They Say That He's God which found less than best favor at the national broadcasting center. Their mini-album Scoring in the USA reached # 2 in the Irish charts in 1994 when Ireland last qualified for the World Cup. What is extraordinary about this is the mini-album was only released on cassette tape. In those days the long lead time for a small independent label meant our soccer heroes would be back home from the USA a week before a CD was available. The delay most certainly cost the AA the # 1 spot. But so what !! The Anorak Adventure have a motto for dealing with situations like that.

So now they're at it again, messing around with Tom Donovan's single Homeland of the Brave.

The Anorak Adventure
Their name derives from the adventures of Bertie's anorak which our Taoiseach constantly wore back in the early 90's and which some media commentators said was well capable of standing on its own (in any constituency).
