Long
before Riverdance, there was Feis by Michael O'Donoghue.
Recorded in1986, Feis quickly became the worldwide
standard to which thousands upon thousands of
young Irish dancers practiced their steps. The
bounce in the music would "put a spring in your
grandmothers step" and the uncluttered strict
tempo of the beat is central to its global success.
For many years, Michael O'Donoghue had been principal
accompanist at All Ireland and World Dancing Championships
before recording this album which still today
remains the standard by which all others are judged.
