Cruiskeen
Cruiskeen
(originally called Shamróg) are one of the foremost ballad
and traditional groups on the Irish music scene. As ambassadors
for the Irish Tourist Board, they have played in concert
throughout the world at venues in Canada, USA, Mexico,
France, Sweden, Hong Kong, Philippines, Indonesia, Germany
and many more European countries. Additionally they are
one of the most popular choices for Irish musical entertainment
at National and International conferences.
The group consist of -
Paddy Whelan Bass, Badhrán and main vocals
John Ralph Bouzouki, Banjo and backing vocals
Liam Kavanagh Fiddle and backing vocals
Roddy Monks Guitar, whistle and backing
vocals
In
1996, they were joined by John Connolly
(lead guitar) and Keith Connolly (drums)
to record live album before an electrified audience at
the world famous Molly Malone's bar in Dublin. Full of
fire and passion, the album Alive
and Drinkin' in Ireland runs to 19 tracks of continuous
craic, and fun and energy.
